I started writing at fourteen, publishing my first piece with a small independent anthology before going on to write for platforms like Falsafa Magazine, Jarida Today, and Roshni. Somewhere along the way, I noticed a bothersome gap: science writing tends to explain what is happening, but rarely why it matters to people, the psychology, the ethics, the human systems tangled up in every discovery. I started this magazine to sit in that gap.
I'm currently pursuing Pure Sciences and Psychology at A-level, with an eye toward studying Molecular and Cellular Biology in the future, and for me this mix isn't coincidental. I think the most interesting questions in science rarely stay inside one subject, and I wanted a publication that treats that seriously instead of picking a side.

Faeez ul Islam
Hi, I'm Faeez, the editor in chief here.
I tried a bit of everything before this: HR, graphics, publications, figuring out what actually fit. Turned out it was writing, and once I found that, I just kept getting promoted, one leadership role leading into the next, all the way up to VP at an NPO, Al Haqq.
Off the clock I'm becoming a doctor at FCCU and writing English literature on the side. Deadlines don't scare me, and I own a propeller hat (yes, the rainbow one with the spinny thing). Take from that what you will.
